Microsoft has just released Windows Server 2016

With the release of Microsoft Windows Server 2016, now is the time to retire your old Server 2008, 2008R2, and SBS (Small Business Server) 2008 machine with a new energy saving server.  Microsoft has been working hard to deliver a cloud-ready platform while retaining the speed and versatility of an onsite solution.  Some of the new features include:

  • Increased security layers for your network
  • Even more storage options
  • Nano server for small environments
  • Upgraded Hyper-V containers

We’re still seeing plenty of Server 2008 and SBS 2008 installations out there, and recommend budgeting for a replacement with Server 2016 soon.  This combined with an Office 365 email migration makes for a very robust business infrastructure.
